An exciting package arrived in the mail Friday after work. My #stitchingsanta present from Sharon in the UK, a fellow blogger at Creativity and Family. Is anybody else out there participating in #stitchingsanta? For more information about this gift exchange, check out Sewchet’s blog. Basically, if you signed up a month or so ago you would be matched with a fellow sewing blogger. Then, sticking to a budget you were to put together a sewing-related parcel of whatever goodies of your choosing. Now for the fun part . . . let me show you all of my goodies Sharon sent me!
As you can see from the photo, there is a handmade tote bag, a sewing and applique book, a set of vintage buttons, quilting blocks, and Twinnings tea, which is perfect because I’m a big tea drinker.
Sharon also sent me some adorable handmade ornaments that I’ve strewn around our house.
The sewing book has some fantastic project ideas. I’m particularly keen on this Breakfast at Tiffany’s sleeping mask:
My favorite part about the tote bag are the secret little sewing charms attached on the inside:
Sharon, thank you so much! It was so much fun to open all of the presents on Friday, especially after a stressful work day. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
