I have a quick little project to share with you today. I had an urge to whip up something easy and satisfying to jump start my spring sewing. Simplicity 1589 is a “learn to sew” pattern with an interesting back detail. I had just purchased a beautiful rayon challis from Hancock’s flat fold table so I decided to give this a try.
The back is the best part:
I can’t remember if I cut it in a size 10 or 12 but the fit is supposed to be loose. This is View A of the pattern. View B has a layered back seam that looks interesting, too. I might try it later this summer. Now that I’ve got this out of the way I’m ready to move onto something a little more time consuming.
Any other quick and easy projects you’ve been working on?
