I went back home for Christmas in Minneapolis. Near the top of my to-do list was to go fabric shopping since the options are so much greater than what we have in Lexington, KY. My favorite fabric store is SR Harris in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, which is a 30,000 square foot warehouse filled to the brim with fabric. Recently, SR Harris opened new doors at its Burnsville, Minnesota location, so my aunt and I went to check it out.
It’s not as big as the Brooklyn Park location but it is easier to navigate. I bought a bunch of new fabric that I am excited to show you.
First up are some beautiful floral cotton prints. I thought they would make pretty dresses or skirts for this summer.
I also picked up this cool cotton print fabric. Not sure what I want to make out of it yet.
Next is a super soft wool fabric. It looks pink hued but it’s actually beige. I thought this would be good for a coat or a jacket.
I also found this really cool stretch jersey knit fabric. I love the pattern on here. Maybe a wrap dress?
This is another abstract cotton print. I thought this would look cool as a pair of wide leg trousers for the summer.
This last fabric is my favorite. I’m not sure exactly what kind of fabric it is. I think it is silk with a velvet pattern embossed on it. It’s really cool. Not sure what I want to make out of it but I knew I had to have it.

I would love to hear your ideas on what you think I should make with the new fabric!
